Review Logitech diNovo Mini

Ability to control your computer from your couch, but even better - not at all to get up from his bed. This is the dream of every lazy uncaused. By myself. But what do I need? Currently, there are all sorts of market remotes and wireless keyboards, but very few of them manage to combine in one portability, functionality and ease of use. This assistance comes Logitech diNovo Mini.

In practice, this is something between a mini keyboard (full QWERTY key 63) and remote control - a product with elegant transparent cover, which most could easily fit in your palm. In the upper left hand corner and find integrated ClickPad, bringing functionality to the mouse, which can be used for two main things - as a touchpad for cursor control in four directions to navigate the menus. In this way you get full control over your PC, wherever you are in your room.

The top of the diNovo Mini is a whole row of multimedia keys, which further facilitate the consumer, including a button to activate the Internet browser approximations, Windows Media Center, etc.. But even without them the work with the Logitech product is extremely simple. Holding the keyboard with two hands, writing in a way similar to most smartphones - with thumbs.

The bottom of the product is rubber, which lies in lithium-ion battery that provides up to one month working with one charge. There is a Connect button and a red and a little shtiftche, which switch the mode of using PC to the PlayStation 3. Yes, Logitech diNovo Mini can work even with the popular console by Sony.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of the product is, however, two backlight modes - orange and green - depending on what exactly produukta use. If you use a ClickPad-like touchpad, the keys associated with him, and he will light up in orange. You decide to handle keyboard itself, then the entire device is literally pouring into light. In the event that prefer to work with a ClickPad-but this time not as a touchpad, and navigation in the four directions, it switches it will be illuminated in a pleasant green light.

Unlike products such as Razer Lycosa, whose keys are not visible without the backlight activated, this could easily turn it off when they are in dark rooms.

In conclusion - this is a very stylish product with great vision mainly because of its backlight. Do not weigh, fits in your palm and practice offers the functionality of a keyboard, mouse and remote control in one. The only cons we find are two - too nadutata price and lack of F-keys.

This sucker is amazing, I love it, the best thing for an HTPC, works thru walls, very far away, last for weeks on a charge, mouse works PERFECT, no you do not have to hold a function key to click like some other reviewer says, you even have 2 options for click, 1 on each side to make things easier, and it's plug and play, I never bothered using the disc is came with (why? it works perfect) I love it, cannot say enough good things about it. Buy It!!!!!!

I love this keyboard, I use it to control my media PC. It's a genius design, and it looks great on he coffee table! I wish the mouse was a bit better. To be honest I've never been happy with any type of pad mouse, so not a fault of this model really.

I have had this for about 4 days now, the first time using it was a little crazy but i soon got used to it. It sure is a handy little thing and the wireless works like a charm. Only problem i had with it is sometimes it gives off a little buzzing sound when the backlights come on, it only happens on the odd occasion. The lid is a bit annoying but to be honest it protects it when not in use so its not all bad :)

If you have a HTPC, this is the ultimate accessory for it. Just note that you will NOT be racking up high scores in FPS games or writing the next great novel on this thing. It is only useful for HTPC use.

This is by far one of the best accessories you can get for a HTPC. It works perfectly to control my HTPC, whether I want to search the web or watch a movie. The device is compact and small, making it easy to store and use when watching a movie. The keys also illuminate in the dark which is great for movies in the dark. Surprisingly, you can type pretty fast on it too.

Probably the best accessory ever for a HTPC! Logitech finally delivers a perfect HTPC companion keyboard with touchpad. The touchpad works like a trackpad on a laptop, but then switching it to media mode the direction arrows light up and function as navigation buttons. Definitely not intended to be used to type on a daily basis; this is a tiny keyboard. If you have a dedicated HTPC, this is a must have! Geek factor = uber! Only pitfall is the price, try to catch it on sale or price match if someone else has it on sale.

small and pretty, looks great on the coffie table but hard to use mast of all the mouse. maybe for young people but over all the older you get the little thing get harder to use and its a lot of money! I picked up a wireless one for $50.00 its almost full size it works great & looks ok but not as nice as this one

I built a HTPC and was looking for a keyboard/mouse solution that would not look ridiculous in my living room and I almost shed a tear of joy when I discovered this little beauty. After using it for a few days I realized that I would still require a mouse and that the trackpad just wouldn't cut it even for occasional use. You must hold FN and then press "ok" just to right click!! If Logitech could have put two buttons (left and right click) close to a flat (more usable) trackpad this would have been a great device instead of just a decent one, and if they had put a scroll wheel mounted sideways on the side of the unit that could be used with your right index finger they would have reached HTPC Nirvana!

Got this to keep my coffee table from being covered by my keyboard and mouse and it does the job. It's small enough I can leave it right on the table with my remotes so I don't have to worry about it taking too much space. Typing with it is easy enough.

Although it is still not listed for sale on Logitech’s site, Amazon is now shipping the Logitech diNovo Mini bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo. I’ve been waiting for this little gem since it’s announcement at CES earlier this year.

Logitech’s diNovo Mini is designed for home theater PCs. We HTPC owners have a problem: how to take full control of your PC and its media functions without relying on a full keyboard or mouse. Both of which our better halves don’t want on the coffee table. The diNovo Mini is $145, which is little high for what’s really a wireless thumb keyboard with a control pad and a Blue tooth connection. But it elegantly solves a unique problem.

The diNovo Mini features a clamshell design and would fit in with any other remote you might have. It weighs only 0.4 pound and is roughly three-quarters of an inch high and six inches long. Under the cover you have a small-scale, 61-key keyboard, backlit in either orange or green, depending on the mode of the control pad.

The directional pad lets you change it from analog, mouse style control, to directional up-down-left-right controls by filliping small switch. The latter is better for Tivo style menus. The middle of the pad acts like your main mouse button, and you hold down one of the function buttons and a menu button on the keyboard for right-clicking. All in all its better the older diNovo Edge. Typing on the diNovo Mini is like any thumb keyboard.

The diNovo Mini uses a Bluetooth connection and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery so it should work with any blue tooth connection. It claims Windows and OSX support, but I’m hoping that it can be tamed by my Nokia N800 and my Linux based MythTV DVR. Once I receive the unit I’ll post a status update on that.
